  • Leadership Bursary for Community Living Kingston Staff

    Description:
    Community Living Kingston maintains a Leadership Development Bursary Fund
    designated for financial support to employees who are aspiring to a university degree
    program at the undergraduate, graduate, and/or post-graduate level in a subject area
    relevant to developmental services. The intent is to invest in the professional
    development of employees who demonstrate leadership potential and aspire to
    career advancement toward supervisory, management, or professional positions.

    CARF Accreditation

    Description:
    Community Living Kingston received the maxime three-year accreditation award in December 2007.

    After years of considering various quality improvement strategies and accreditation options, Community Living Kingston made a commitment in 2005 to proceed with accreditation through the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

    Based in Tucson, Arizona, CARF has been accrediting human service organizations, large and small, since 1966 and has earned an excellent international reputation. It has accredited more than 34,000 programs for 4,700 providers at 17,000 locations in the United States, Canada and Western Europe. More than five million persons of all ages are served by CARF accredited providers in the areas of aging services, behavioural health, employment and community services, and medical rehabilitation. The values articulated by CARF are entirely consistent with those of Community Living Kingston:
