Respite

Description:

The purpose of respite is to support families and caregivers to continue to provide daily care to a loved one at home. The relief allows families and caregivers the opportunity to re-energize and individuals to gain new experiences, new friendships and overall to grow as an individual.

Community Living Kingston's respite is.....

• Community Living Kingston provides respite care for those families needing a break from the daily care and support of their family member;
• We, with the assistance from the community, are their to give the child or adult an enjoyable weekend of new experiences and the formulation of new friendships;
• Respite is offered to adults in either a staffed community residence or with a Family Home Provider;
• We respect and act upon the desires, interests and needs of the family and the person receiving respite.
