  • Residential Services

    Description:

The Residential Services Division offers community based residential options and supports that reflect the Mission of Community Living Kingston:

That people with intellectual disabilities have every opportunity to participate fully in our community with dignity and independence

    • SUPPORT - Residential Services provides quality supports to 45 adults in homes that they can call their own. Supports range from environments where individuals require 24 hour staffing through to enhanced semi-independent living where the staff offer specific individual supports as identified by the person. Residential Services offers affordable, accessible housing, designed to meet each persons unique needs.
    • OPPORTUNITY - Residential Services promotes opportunities for community inclusion and personal relationships. Within the context of planning, goals are identified by the person, their friends, family and support staff. Ongoing planning is considered a vital component to the personal planning process.
    • COMMUNITY - Residential Services recognizes the valuable contributions made by family, friends and volunteers whose involvement is always welcomed and encouraged. Residential Services focuses on fostering important contacts and relationships within the community with a view to enhancing the lives of individuals we support. These include leisure groups, community activities and organizations, and health care providers.
    • CHOICE Residential Services promotes individual decision making, communication, personal interests and ability. An individuals contribution to their own planning is recognized by support staff as valuable and central to achieving positive quality of life outcomes.

For more information about the supports provided by Residential Services please contact Janet Barry, Manager at 613-546-6613, Extension 259.
