Community Living Kingston
Welcome to Community Living Kingston

For almost 60 years, Community Living Kingston has worked to build an inclusive community where individuals with intellectual disabilities enjoy the rights and privileges of citizenship. This continues to be accomplished by advocating with and on behalf of individuals with an intellectual disability as well as by delivering highly valued supports and services that respond to people’s needs and interests.

Community Living Kingston began in 1953 when parents joined together to support each other and create services in their own community. That determination and spirit remains as the foundation for the work of the organization today. A variety of residential, day support, children’s and family services operate from that same base of values. We support individuals as they develop their skills and pursue interests to live, learn, work and participate in all aspects of community life.

Staff members, volunteers, families and persons served all make valued contributions to our organization, collectively working to achieve our goal “that people with intellectual disabilities have every opportunity to participate fully in our community with dignity and independence”.

Please take some time to look around our website, get to know us and see how you can become involved in Community Living.

In the News
The Ombudsman of Ontario recently announced an investigation into the growing level of unmet needs for developmental services. An important part of that process is to hear from individuals with intellectual disabilities, their families, developmental service organizations and other stakeholder groups regarding this issue.
